2006 Robot

2006 Game Description: The game is played on a 26-54 foot rectangular field. Three goal openings are located beneath each alliance station wall in which teams are able to score. Above each center goal is an illuminated target that is used by the automated vision system to determine the range and location of the goals. The platform at the end of each goal is used by robots which may climb upon it and score bonus points. The objective of the game is to shoot, push, or roll balls through either of the three goals on the far end of the field. The match starts with a ten second autonomous period in which robots will attempt to score using just pre-programmed instructions. Each robot can start with up to ten balls in its possesion. They are three main periods of the game in which the alliances switch offensive and defensive roles.
