Comments: We really need to correct the history page as none of you were there when it really started. I started the team in 1998 with the Vice Principle from Broadway Continuation School. After teaching martial arts at the 150 student school I first brought botball to Broadway in 1998 where they placed 2nd in the West Coast Tournament lossing only to Castilleja. Therer lego robot known as the mangler was a taste of things to come. In April of 1998 I flew Steven Lugo and another student to Florida to watch the FIRST Tournament. It was here that Jason Morella first appearred. The teacher that had lead the students the previous year was moving on and Jason, an english teacher had been hired. I funded the three men to fly to FL to bring back ideas for us to start the team. Jason pushed me to get another engineer so I lured Steve Kyramarious for the cost of a mere cell phone, and the rest is history. Due to my schedule and work load I am not very vissible in the team, please remember that I worked very hard along with the Bellarmine staff Steve K., Jason M, and now EJ and Cory to bring us to where we are today.

Comments: You guys are awesome! I still believe that out every robot in the Championship, yours was the best. All the paint and the anodizing makes your robot really stand out from the rest of the bare aluminum frames that everyone else has. I can't wait until next year to see what you come out with. Whenever people talk to us about robotics we always mention team 254 and its robot. Our team would also like to thank you for the commentary on our wheels, since we are very proud of them. On the subject of wheels, I want to suggest once again that you use Nitrile coveyor belting for tread material instead of natural rubber tread which you use now. The Nitrile tread on our wheels are the same treads that got us through Regionals and almost through Nationals. It provides the same amount of grip as natural rubber but never wear out. I highly reccomend using Nitrile tread. You can buy it from McMaster-Carr under the label of Rough Top Nitrile conveyor belting. It's colored blue so it would match your robot's appearance perfectly. Other than that, keep up the good work! (Great website. No wonder your team won the best website award...)
