About Team 254

A Screenshot from this year's animation "The Cheesy Poofs Robotics Team, 254, has evolved over the years from the smallest program in the country in 1999, at a struggling high school, to a large program based at the NASA Ames Research Center (ARC). While the team's student members have changed, the Cheesy Poofs have continued to flourish."

End of Build Season

Animation

This year's animation has been completed! It can been downloaded here. A nice looking car pulls up to a stoplight besides this year's robot. The car "rev"s its engine and the robot follows suit. Afterwards, they race around in the city and soon the robot gains a few car length's lead. The two continue their race into a residential area, when suddenly, a red ball bounces out into the street, and the robot stops as a child darts out to retrieve it. The child looks at the robot, then picks up the ball to go back to his house. The car zooms out from behind the robot nearly hitting the child. The robot saves the child from danger. The ending statement appears stating, "Safety FIRST" - a play on words.
